Gerd Thoreid was a Norwegian singer and stand-up comedian who became famous under the stage name GT-Sara. She made her first TV appearance in 1975 and became known for her warmth, laughter, and guitar. She often told coarse jokes but never lost faith in God. She debuted as a recording artist at the age of 83 with the album GT-Sara på farten, which topped the charts in Norway. She was considered to be Norway's oldest stand-up comic and performed until she was 96. She died in 2020 after a fall.
