Julian Figueroa

Julian Figueroa was a Mexican singer-songwriter and telenovela actor, who followed the footsteps of his parents, actress Maribel Guardia and singer Joan Sebastian. He was born on May 5, 1996, in Mexico City, and showed interest in music and acting from an early age. He launched his first album, "Julián Figueroa y su banda", in 2017, and collaborated with his father on songs like "Volaré" and "Cómo Olvidar". He also starred in the telenovela "Mi camino es amarte" in 2019, and was working on his first solo album at the time of his death. He was married to singer and actress Ime Garza, with whom he had a son, José Julián, born in 2017. He was very close to his father, who died of bone cancer in 2015, and often paid tribute to him on social media. He was also the third of his father's eight sons to die, after Trigo Figueroa and Juan Sebastián, who were both murdered in separate incidents. Julian Figueroa died unexpectedly on April 10, 2023, at the age of 27, of a heart attack in his home in Mexico City. His mother confirmed his death on Instagram and asked for respect and privacy for the family. His funeral was held in private, with only his closest relatives and friends. He was remembered by his fans and colleagues as a talented and charismatic artist, who inherited his father's passion and voice.
