About me / Bio:

Adriana Jadranka Maraž was a renowned Slovene graphic artist born on December 26, 1931, in Ilirska Bistrica. She studied painting and graphic art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana from 1949 until 1957 under professor Maksim Sedej. Maraž had numerous solo exhibitions and participated in the Graphic Art Biennales in Ljubljana. She was the recipient of the Grand Prix at the second Norwegian International Print Biennale in Fredrikstad. Her contributions to children's literature and artistic achievements were recognized with the Jakopič award in 1977 and the Prešeren Fund Award in 1983. Maraž passed away on May 8, 2015, leaving behind a legacy of artistic excellence that continues to inspire.
