Nicolae Labis

Nicolae Labiș was a prominent Romanian poet known for his lyrical and evocative poetry that captured the spirit of his times. Born on December 2, 1935, in Poiana Mărului, Suceava County, Romania, he was the son of schoolteachers Eugen and Ana-Profira Labiș. From an early age, Nicolae showed a deep interest in literature and the arts. He began writing poetry during his high school years and quickly gained recognition for his talent.
