Minerva Bloom

Minerva Bloom was a bilingual poet and nature photographer who was born in 1959 in Tinguindin, Michoacán, a small town nestled in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico. She moved to the US in 1983 and became a citizen. She lived in the state of Florida. She published books of poetry, photography, and naval history, and contributed to several international poetry and art anthologies. She also worked with Nobel Prize candidate Marcia Theophilo in the translation of selected poems. Her nature photography was chosen by several international poetry authors for their book covers. She was also active in the online community of haiga and haiku artists. She died in 2018 surrounded by her family in her home.
