Brendan Grace

Brendan Grace was an Irish comedian and singer who started his career as a folk musician in the 1960s. He later became famous for his comedy characters, such as Bottler, a cheeky schoolboy, and the Father of the Bride, a grumpy old man. He also appeared in several films and TV shows, such as Moondance, Father Ted, and Killinaskully. He was known for his spontaneous wit and his sense of timing, as well as his ability to make fun of himself and others. He was loved by many fans around the world, especially in Ireland and the US, where he often performed. He was married to Eileen Doyle since 1973 and had four children, one of whom is a member of the metalcore band Poison the Well. He also wrote an autobiography called Amuzing Grace in 2009. He died of lung cancer in 2019 at the age of 68, after being diagnosed with pneumonia. He was mourned by many celebrities and politicians, as well as his family and friends. He was buried at Deansgrange Cemetery in Dublin.
