Waheeda Naseem

Waheeda Naseem was a Pakistani writer and poet who migrated from Hyderabad, India in 1952. She was influenced by her mother and grandfather, who were also poets and writers. She completed her MSC in Botany from Osmania University and worked as a teacher and principal of a college. She wrote 24 books in Urdu, including novels, short stories, and poetry collections. She also wrote a film script and a TV series. She was known for her progressive and feminist themes in her writings. She died in 1996 in Karachi and was buried at Model Colony graveyard.
